Director, eDiscovery Services

Vanessa is the Director of eDiscovery Services at Triage Data Solutions. She joined the company in March 2022 as an Executive Assistant and Junior Project Manager and quickly advanced into her current leadership role.

Before joining Triage, Vanessa worked for five years as a Legal Administrative Assistant in litigation before obtaining her Paralegal Certificate. She now draws on her legal and technical expertise to assist and train clients on best practices in legal discovery, data management, and document review. Vanessa is a strong advocate for the use of technology and AI to help clients streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall document management strategies.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Classical Studies from the University of British Columbia, and a Paralegal Certificate from Capilano University. She is an active member of the British Columbia Paralegal Association (BCPA), the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS), and serves as Assistant Director of Women in eDiscovery – Vancouver. She is committed to continuous learning, regularly attending industry webinars, and has earned several professional certifications, including the Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) and the Reveal Genius Certification.

In addition to her client and leadership work, Vanessa has served as a guest speaker at Capilano University, Okanagan College, the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia (CLEBC), and organizations such as the British Columbia Legal Management Association (BCLMA). Through these engagements, she helps legal professionals and students deepen their understanding of eDiscovery and its impact on modern practice.

Outside of her professional life, Vanessa spends most of her time lost in books, spending time with family and friends, and gathering new and interesting hobbies.
